Mick praise for comeback but rues goals given away after Town are held by Bristol
Ryan Fraser struck five minutes from the end to give Blues a 2-2 draw after City had cancelled out Luke Chambers’ opener with two goals in three minutes.
“We had enough chances to have won but when you are 2-1 down with five minutes to go, you’ll take the point,” the Town boss told Ipswich Player HD.
“What was pleasing was that having gone a goal down, we responded well and kept going to the end.
“Our subs made a great impact when they went on. I have been looking for that when we make changes and Didz [David McGoldrick] was different class. Brett [Pitman] did great as well. They made a huge difference.
“We have to defend better than we did today though. If we don’t we are not going to do anything. The first goal has taken a big deflection but he shouldn’t have been able to get there.
“There were mistakes for the second one as well. They were appalling goals to give away but as I said, we responded well and we will take the point and move on.”
