Striker excited to potentially feature at Old Trafford but insists Town aren't frightened of the big boys

Brett Pitman has spoken of the excitement of playing at Old Trafford for the first time in his career but insists Town aren’t there to make up the numbers.

The striker will be part of the travelling squad hoping to play a part in tomorrow’s Capital One Cup third round tie against Manchester United.

“You don’t get the opportunity to play at Old Trafford that very often and everyone will be hoping to play, of course,” Brett told Ipswich Player HD.

“It’s the first time in my career that I will go there and I’m really looking forward to it.

“It’s not just a day out though. We want to win every game, regardless of who we are playing.

“Whether it’s a non-League team or Manchester United, you want to win the game and we will be going out there with the mentality of trying to win the tie, that’s for sure.”
