Midfielder full of praise for the Blue Army impact despite Old Trafford defeat

Town midfielder Giles Coke has praised the Blue Army for the atmosphere they created in the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Nearly 5,000 fans made the trip to Manchester and Giles appreciated the effort that was made, as did the rest of the players and coaching staff.

“It was a long way for the fans to come and it shows what the Club means to them,” he told Ipswich Player HD.

“It’s a long way to travel; I don’t know exactly how many miles it is but their support was brilliant and they were like a twelfth man tonight.

He insisted that now the focus of the team was back on league duty, and the upcoming fixture against Bristol City on Saturday at Portman Road.

“This is done now and we’ve had our fun here. Now we can concentrate on Bristol City which will be a hard game but a game we’ve got more than enough quality to win.

“We all want to be back here at Old Trafford in the Premier League so now we can concentrate on the league, pick up some results and hopefully next year we’ll be back.”
