Josh Yorwerth makes winning debut for Crawley after joining the Red Devils for a month's stay

Three of Town’s loan players were involved in last night’s Football League fixtures, including Josh Yorwerth, who made his debut for Crawley Town.

Josh, who played in the defeat to Manchester United last week, started for the Red Devils as they comfortably defeated former Town man Terry Butcher’s Newport County 3-0 at Rodney Parade.

He will stay with Mark Yates’ side for a month and his maiden performance helped lift Crawley out of the relegation zone with just their second victory of the 2015/16 campaign.

Elsewhere, Matt Clarke played the full 90 minutes for Portsmouth as they fell to a 2-1 loss at home to Exeter- their first league defeat of this season.

Despite the result, the Fratton Park side remain in the third of three automatic promotion places in League Two, behind only to Plymouth and Wycombe Wanderers who are one and two points ahead of them respectively.

Finally, although he scored in Saturday’s 3-1 loss at Sheffield United, Cameron Stewart was an unused substitute for Doncaster as Swindon scored a last minute equaliser to salvage a 2-2 draw at the Keepmoat Stadium.
