Mick boosted by the return of Freddie Sears and is hopeful that Cole Skuse and Ryan Fraser could also be involved

Mick McCarthy has confirmed that both Freddie Sears and Cole Skuse are available for selection after shaking off knocks.

Freddie missed the win at Leeds with a tight hamstring, whilst Cole and teammate Ryan Fraser were forced off at Elland Road through injury.

“Skusey trained today and we’re optimistic that he’s fine,” the gaffer told Ipswich Player HD.

“Ryan’s been working with the physios but is more positive that he will be okay than he was earlier in the week, so we will look at him before the game and make a decision.

“Freddie is back- he was desperate to play at Leeds but I made the decision to leave him out for him. I was never going to risk him because he’s an important player and we will need him for other games.”

Kevin Bru, Teddy Bishop and Tommy Oar are all available for the manager too, after featuring for the U21s against Birmingham earlier in the week.

The game at Portman Road (kick-off 7.45pm) is a ‘Kids for a Quid’ promotion, with tickets still available to purchase via
