Keeper at the double in Player Awards night

Bartosz Bialkowski has been voted Player of the Year by the Town fans. 

The ‘keeper picked up the award at the Supporters’ Club awards night held in the Sir Bobby Suite at Portman Road after Saturday’s defeat by Brentford. Freddie Sears was second behind Bart, with Tommy Smith third. 

The 28-year-old was also voted the Player of the Year by the Junior Blues. 

Andre Dozzell won the Dale Roberts Academy Player of the Year with Cole Skuse picking up the Platinum Award. 

“It feels amazing, especially as I’ve gone through a lot this season,” said Bart. 

“I owe a lot to Mally [Malcolm Webster, goalkeeping coach]. He has been great. Gerks as well.  He was amazing before he got injured.”
