Teddy Bishop delighted to be back after an injury ravaged season
Teddy Bishop admits that there were times during his lengthy comeback from injury where he felt like the season could well be a write-off.
The midfielder made his first appearance of this season in Tuesday’s 0-0 draw with Charlton at Portman Road, and he now believes he is over the worst of his injury troubles.
“It was tough for me because I’d be thinking ‘I’m nearly back’ then I was back out again but this time I feel positive, I feel strong and hopefully that is the end of it now,” he told the Club website.
“There was a few times where I thought I wouldn’t play this season and I should just look to next season but the physios are good at reminding you that if you do your rehab then you never know.
“The gaffer has been really sensible with me. I think he’s going to ease me in because the last thing I need now is to start a game and feel something after half an hour.
“Hopefully I can have a few more substitute appearances and if they are going well I can get a start before the end of the season.”
