Kenlock and Emmanuel catch the eye as Town finish home campaign in style
Luke Varney headed in from Myles Kenlock’s excellent cross two minutes from time to give Blues a 3-2 win after goals from David McGoldrick and Brett Pitman had been cancelled out by a brace from Alex Revell.
“It is a positive end to the season at home, though we tried manfully to give it away,” the Town boss told Ipswich Player HD.
“We started well and got a good goal, then we gave a daft one away. Pits scored a terrific second for us and then we’ve conceded another that we shouldn’t have done.
“Reg won it for us with a great header and it was a fabulous cross from Myles.
“I thought he had a great League debut, Myles. He was outstanding and Josh Emmanuel had a good game as well.
“What I will take from this game is that we have two young full-backs who can be part of the squad next season and can play if we need them.”
