Striker misses Sheffield trip with Luke Varney also a doubt
The Republic of Ireland international has been sidelined since sustaining a calf injury picked up while away with his country at the end of March.
“Murph has been training but he won’t be available for the weekend,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website. “Hopefully he will be back for Fulham on Tuesday.”
Town also have injury concerns over Larsen Toure and Luke Varney. Both were forced to cut short training today, Larsen with a groin worry, Reg with a hamstring problem.
Giles Coke will miss the rest of the season as he recovers from knee surgery while Teddy Bishop will continue his return from a hamstring tendon injury in the U21s game against Sheffield United on Monday. He won’t be included in the first-team squad for the weekend.
