Loanee joins Pits on sidelines but Didz gets some good news

Conor Grant has been added to Town’s injury list ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Wolves.

The Everton loanee sustained a groin problem in training today and joins Brett Pitman, Luke Hyam and David McGoldrick on the sidelines.

There is good news for Didz though as Mick McCarthy explained to Ipswich Player HD.

“Didz has seen a specialist about his ankle and he doesn’t need surgery, which is obviously a positive,” said the Town boss. “It means he will be out for eight to 10 weeks rather than 10-14 weeks.

“Luke Hyam is also going to be out for a few weeks, maybe three or four. We all thought it was bone bruising and it is, but there is nerve damage as well and that is taking a while to heal.

“Brett Pitman is still out with a thigh problem and Conor Grant has come in from training with a tight groin. Both will miss the Wolves game so we are down to the bare bones a bit.”

Kick-off at Molineux is at 7.45pm with live commentary on Ipswich Player.
