IRELAND CALL FOR MURPH

24 August 2016

Town striker in O'Neil's Ireland squad as World Cup preparations begin

Following on from Christophe Berra' s call-up to the Scotland squad for next month's World Cup qualifier with Malta, Daryl Murphy is the latest Town player to be selected for international duty.

Murph, who had a successful Euro 2016 with Martin O'Neil's side, will hope to play his part in Ireland's friendly with Oman in Dublin before travelling to Belgrade to take on Serbia in their opening World Cup qualifier.

Elsewhere, Michael Crowe has also been selected by former Blue, Geraint Williams, for the Wales U21 squad for their upcoming Euro 2017 qualifying matches against Denmark and Luxembourg.
