Ankle injury sees midfielder miss Birmingham trip and beyond

Teddy Bishop will miss Tuesday’s trip to Birmingham after picking up an ankle injury.

The midfielder, a second-half substitute in the draw with Cardiff on Saturday, has had a scan and could be out for up to four weeks.

“Bish rocked his ankle in training yesterday and he won’t be on the bus for Birmingham,” the Town boss told Ipswich Player HD.

“He landed awkwardly. He’s had a scan and it’s ligament damage. He will be out for two to four weeks.”

Mick, who has been battling a cold virus himself, added that it’s illness rather than injury that is causing concern with some of his squad.

“It’s more coughs and colds and sickness bugs that is affecting us,” said the boss.

“Gerks has been ill, Wardy’s been low with a bug and Skuse’s got the sniffles so we will see how they are.”
