Mick contemplates changes at Wigan as he looks for formula to ignite Town's season

Mick McCarthy will look at making changes to his side for the trip to Wigan as he looks for the spark to ignite Town’s fortunes.

Blues, currently 17th in the Championship, travel to the DW Stadium looking to end a run of three games without a win as the festive programme approaches.

“Will I look at shuffling the pack? Yes I will,” the Town boss told Ipswich Player HD.

“We are not getting results and we need a spark from somewhere.

“It’s not panic stations at the moment by any stretch but we need something to happen to get us going.

“We have to try something to change things around and I’m constantly looking at how we can do that.”

Wigan are in the relegation zone at the moment but Mick feels the Latics’ fans will look at Town’s visit as a chance to get a much needed win.

“They are not in great form, we are not in great form either and their fans will expect, with them at home to get something from the game,” added the boss.

“TC watched them against Newcastle on Wednesday and they put in a good show. They are more difficult to beat now than maybe they were earlier. It’s going to be another tough game.”
