'Keeper looks forward to the future at Portman Road after extending his stay by a further two years
Bartosz Bialkowski has penned a new contract which will see him remain at Portman Road until at least the summer of 2018.
The Town 'keeper, who joined Blues in 2014 from Notts County, signed the deal today at the Club’s Playford Road training ground, with the option of an additional 12 months also included.
Bart has reclaimed the number one jersey at Town in recent weeks following a shoulder injury to Dean Gerken in the defeat at Birmingham and the ‘keeper was named man of the match in the trips to QPR and Bristol City.
“Obviously I’m very happy to have signed a new contract,” Bart told the Club website.
“My contract was up in the summer and I had a few calls about what I was going to do but I was only interested in staying at Ipswich and I’m looking forward to the future here.
“I have been pleased with my performances since I returned to the team. I have felt very confident and made some good saves but then that is my job really!”
