GERKEN FIT FOR TIGERS TASK

22 February 2016

Town's goalkeeper available again after a month on the sidelines

Town have been handed a boost ahead of tomorrow night’s visit of Hull as Dean Gerken has been passed fit enough to return to the squad.

The ‘keeper has been out since partially tearing a ligament in his shoulder in a clash with Birmingham’s James Vaughan in the 3-0 defeat at St. Andrew’s last month, but has worked hard to get himself back in the frame for selection.

“He has made great progress and is available for tomorrow’s game,” said Mick McCarthy on his returning stopper.

The Blues will also have Luke Hyam and Jonathan Douglas back in the squad as they both return from their respective injury and suspension lay-offs.
