Former Blue passes away at the age of just 65

The Club is saddened to learn of the passing of former player, Johnny Miller, who passed away yesterday at the age of just 65.

Johnny, who was from Ipswich, came through the youth ranks at Portman Road and went on to make 60 appearances for Blues before departing for Norwich. He also had spells at Mansfield and Port Vale.

“It’s tragic news,” Town legend John Wark, who was at the Club at the same time as Johnny,” told the Club website.

“He used to come to the ex-players dinners and was such a bubbly character. He always had a story to tell. He was just a good guy.”

Ipswich Town would like to pass on condolences to Johnny’s family and friends at this difficult time.
