Defender looking to back up the midweek win over Reading with victory at Loftus Road this weekend

Tommy Smith is looking to keep the Town fans smiling, as the Blues look for another three points this week away at QPR.

Mick McCarthy’s side got back to winning ways in midweek with victory over Reading, with a trip to ‘traditional’ Loftus Road on the agenda this weekend.

“Loftus Road is a traditional, old fashioned ground and the fans are right on top of you,” the defender told Ipswich Player HD.

“It’s the sort of stadium you want to test yourself at and all the boys are relishing the game.

“It’s going to be a tough game. QPR perhaps haven’t clicked as much as they would have liked to so far this season but they’ve still got some Premier League players in their ranks.

“We’re looking forward to the game and I understand we’ve got another great following behind us. The fan support is superb here and we really appreciate that.

“It was nice to put a smile back on the faces of the supporters by beating Reading on Tuesday and hopefully we can back that up with another three points this weekend.”
