Boost for Town with trio fit for Birmingham trip and Foley deal close to completion
Luke Chambers, Christophe Berra and Cole Skuse all trained today and will be in the squad for Saturday’s trip to Birmingham.
The trio have been nursing injuries and were not considered for the FA Cup replay at Portsmouth on Tuesday.
Chambo has been hindered by a calf problem, Christophe had an injection in his shoulder and Skusey has been carrying a tight hamstring but Town boss Mick McCarthy told Ipswich Player HD: “They will all be okay for Saturday.
“The players have all trained today, some have done lighter work than others but I expected them to be fit for the weekend before I decided on the team for Portsmouth and they will be.
“We have a big game at Birmingham and we need the players to be a full throttle.”
Mick also added that he expected Kevin Foley to be available for the visit to St Andrew’s.
The former Wolves defender had agreed a deal until the end of the season, with Blues closing in on completing the paperwork.
