Ryan Fraser believes that Town were better than the scoreline suggests after being beaten 3-0 by Birmingham
Ryan Fraser believes Town’s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Birmingham flattered the hosts, and that the result could have been so much different had the Blues taken their chances.
Midfielder Jonathan Douglas was sent off at the end of the first-half with the score at 1-0, and Ryan is adamant that his side were better than the result suggests.
“I thought we threatened throughout the match and on another day we would have put three past them,” he told Ipswich Player HD.
“In the first-half we weren’t good enough but in the second-half we were; I thought we were very good.
“The fans at home are just going to see the scoreline but we worked hard. I’m sorry for the first-half, but I think in the second we deserved more than what we got.
“We were 1-0 down at half-time, but I thought we could have got back into it but obviously with ten men it’s harder. I didn’t think they deserved to win 3-0, though.
“We’ve got 18 games remaining so we just need to go on a streak, which we’re capable of doing, so we’ll keep going.”
