David McGoldrick will return for the Blues' friendly against Cambridge after hip injury

David McGoldrick may be involved as Town continue the pre-season preparations with a trip to Cambridge United tomorrow.

The striker is yet to play a part in any of the Blues' friendly matches, having picked up a hip flexor injury whilst training away with the squad in Ireland, prior to the win over Shelbourne at Tolka Park.

Mick McCarthy had previously said he will not rush Didz, or team-mate Daryl Murphy, to return to his squad with the latter making his first appearance of the season in Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Colchester at the Weston Homes stadium.

New signing, Adam Webster also pulled on a Town shirt for the first time against the U's following his persistent ankle injury, leaving Giles Coke as the only player to remain injured after his knee surgery this summer.
