Striker Freddie Sears reflects on pre-season so far and looks ahead to the start of the new EFL Championship season on August 6th
Freddie Sears has told the official Club website that the Town players are all ‘gearing up’ for the big kick-off on August 6th, as pre-season begins to reach its conclusion.
The Blues take on Charlton tomorrow evening, before hosting Royal Union St Gillioise in the final pre-season fixture before the new Championship season gets underway when Barnsley visit Portman Road on August 6th.
“Pre-season has been hard work, but it’s been good and the lads are looking sharp,” Freddie explained to the official Club website.
“It’s always a tough period because you do a lot of double sessions but you need to put that work in now, because it’s all about getting the fitness levels up.
“We’ve had a few games now and that match sharpness is coming back and we are all gearing up for Barnsley on the 6th of August.
“Everything is starting to fall into place and we are all raring to go.”
