Town boss liked what he saw of the former Swansea winger in goalless draw with the Addicks
Mick McCarthy has admitted he was impressed with Belgian trialist, Roland Lamah following the 0-0 draw with Charlton at The Valley.
The winger managed just shy of an hour after training twice with the Blues since arriving on Monday, but the boss is hoping to see more of him.
“He was at Ferencvaros last year in Hungary and had a good season,” he told Ipswich Player HD.
“I thought he played well. I was pleased with him, and pleased with his contribution but he’s not fully fit.
“He’s just come in so it’s unfair on him, and unfair on me to have to make a snap decision having seen little of him.
“I’ll talk to his agent but I would like to see more of him and I do think he could do something for us. I would like him to be involved on Saturday [against Royale Union Saint Gilloise] so we’ll see.”
“I’ll be watching some [other players] over the next few days, and having them watched. There are so many Premier League clubs away for pre-season tours, so that’s what I’m waiting on to see if anything else moves.”
