WAITING GAME FOR BLUES

21 July 2016

Boss having to remain patient as he looks to make additions to his squad ahead of the new season

Mick McCarthy admits he is having to remain patient as he looks to add to his Town squad ahead of the new campaign.

Speaking after The Blues’ 1-0 pre-season friendly victory over Colchester, the gaffer revealed that whilst targets are being lined up, he’s facing a waiting game in the transfer market.

“It’s a waiting game as we go on,” the boss told Ipswich Player HD.

“A lot of Premier League teams took all their players away [on pre-season], so we are still waiting on that front.

“There are two or three we are trying to get in and two or three loans deals as well. But we will just keep waiting on that front.”
