Town new boy feels he has recovered from an ankle injury and has his sights set on season opener
Adam Webster believes he is over the ankle injury which affected his first month as a Town player and is excited for the new campaign.
The defender completed his first 90 minutes as a Blue in the 2-1 loss to Belgian side, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, and he hopes it has given him the chance to be in the starting line-up next weekend as the season kicks off against Barnsley at Portman Road.
"I'm pretty much there now," he told Ipswich Player HD.
"I was blowing a bit at the end of the game but it's been a long time out, just over three months, but I'm glad to be back and now I'm raring to go.
"I had a couple of weeks off in the summer but other than that I was in most days trying to get fit. There's never a good time to get injured but it was a long process and I'm through that now and can look forward to the start of the season.
"The medical team have been great. I've been in with them over the summer so it helped to get to know the and they've really looked after me.
"I'm ready to go next Saturday if selected, but if I'm not selected I'll be behind the boys and hopefully it will be a good season."
