New recruit is excited for his Town future as his move from Portsmouth is officially confirmed today

Adam Webster has said he is looking to ‘hit the ground running’, after his move to Town from Portsmouth was officially confirmed today.

The defender agreed to join the Blues from Pompey in June, although the deal didn’t officially begin until July 1st, but Adam has been at Playford Road for pre-season and admits he’s settled in well to life in Suffolk.

“I’ve settled in well with the lads and everyone has been working hard since we returned for pre-season,” the defender told Ipswich Player HD.

“My aims are just to get myself fully fit really and have a good pre-season.

“It’s a step up from League Two in every sense, but it’s a challenge I wanted to take and something I feel I’m ready for.

“I just want to hit the ground running and do as well as I can to impress the gaffer. I’m looking forward to the new season and my future at Ipswich now.”
