Town's youngsters have the chance to impress new boss in friendly at Coggeshall
A Town XI will travel to down the A12 this evening to take on a Coggeshall Town side which will include Olly Murs.
The singer has previous with the Essex-based side having played for them towards the end of last season while attempting to get fit before taking part in June's Soccer Aid match at Old Trafford, against footballing greats such as Ronaldinho and Cafu, as well as playing in the same side as former Blue, Keiron Dyer.
Gerard Nash will take charge of the Blues having recently taken over from Mark Kennedy as U21 manager, and will include the likes of Ben Morris, Monty Patterson and Chris Smith in his squad, with all three having been involved in squads for first-team friendlies in recent weeks.
Jacob Marsden and George Fowler, who signed new professional deals with the Club in June, are due to be involved, while Kundai Benyu has also been included as part of the travelling squad.
Kick-off in Coggeshall will take place at 7pm with tickets available at £8.50 for adults and £5.50 for children.
Fans are advised to arrive in good time with tickets and parking likely to be in short supply.
