Mick McCarthy takes part in cycle ride around Suffolk to help raise funds for Ipswich Hospital
Mick McCarthy joined a number of fundraisers this morning, to take part in a cycle ride to raise money for Ipswich Hospital.
The Town boss was out on his bike at 7am this morning, with numerous other cyclists, as they departed Ipswich Hospital with a distance of 78 miles on the agenda today.
The event last three days in total, with cyclists able to ‘dip in and out’ as they see fit, whilst the total distance will be 209 miles around Suffolk.
The cyclists will ride to all the locations in Suffolk that have a name in common with the hospital ward and the Ipswich Hospital Charity Bike Ride demonstrates that the Hospital is more than just a place, it is a community of health without walls.
Although there is no obligation to raise money, cyclists are being encourage to support the Ipswich Hospital Charity where £7k was raised last year.
Mick took part in today’s leg of the journey, before he returns to pre-season with his Town squad on Monday.
