Mick McCarthy and his first-team players report back to Playford Road for fitness tests as pre-season training officially gets underway
Town’s first-team squad have reported back to Playford Road for pre-season training today.
Mick McCarthy welcomed back his players by putting them through their paces with a ‘yo-yo’ test, as well being weighed and undertaking a number of other fitness-based activities.
Daryl Murphy and Kevin Bru were absent from the group, with both allowed extra time off following their involvement at international level, although Cameron Stewart and Piotr Malarczyk were both present after ending last season on loan.
The U21 Development side were set to also face the same tests this afternoon, with fitness coach Andy Liddell leading both sessions today.
