Town 'keeper Bialkowski laments late penalty decision but tips the squad to bounce back
Bartosz Bialkowski was left a frustrated figure after a 97th minute Stephen Dobbie penalty denied Town taking all three points at the Macron Stadium.
As he has done regularly in recent matches, the Pole made a string of important saves throughout the match, but he was powerless to prevent the Trotters snatching a late leveller.
“It’s very disappointing to concede two late goals, and the second one especially is a hard one to take,” he told Ipswich Player HD.
“From my point of view, Ainsley [Maitland-Niles] definitely won the ball and I thought the referee was going to book the Bolton player for diving but that’s football and we can’t do anything about it.
“He [Ainsley] is still learning and he’s a young lad but he didn’t deserve that today; simple as that. I’m sure he’s going to be OK because we’re all behind him.
“I’ve been delighted with my own recent performances, but I’m just doing my job to help the team, so it’s such a shame we couldn’t get the win today.
“We are positive and I’m sure we’ll do the best we can to be in-and-around the Play-Offs but the main target for us is to look at the next game, concentrate on it, and I’m sure we’ll be fine.”
