Striker in U21 squad to face Forest at Portman Road as he steps up comeback from injury

David McGoldrick will return to action in tonight’s U21 game against Nottingham Forest for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury in December.

The striker, who suffered a 90 per cent tear of his hamstring, has been included in the squad for the game which kicks-off at 7pm at Portman Road.

“Didz has worked really hard to get back and he will be involved for the U21s tonight,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website.

“If he comes through that okay then hopefully he will be on the bus with us for the Wolves game after the international break.”

Season ticket holders can get into tonight’s game free of charge, with tickets priced at £3 adults and £1 concessions. Entry is via the Cobbold Stand.
