Didz back and Bish may join him for Wolves trip but Murph misses out
Murph sustained a tear in his calf while on international duty with the Republic of Ireland and was back at the Club on Monday for treatment.
Didz has been out since December with a severe hamstring tear while Bish has not played for the first-team this season following a hamstring tendon problem.
The teenage midfielder wasn’t expected to return to first-team action until pre-season but has made good progress over the last week.
“Bish trained with a high intensity on Monday and Tuesday and did it again today. He has done really well,” Mick McCarthy told the Club website.
“I’ve told him to bring his gear in tomorrow and we will see what he is like. I’m thinking of taking him to Wolves.
“Didz will be travelling for sure. I’m not sure if he is ready for a start but he will be in the squad and it will be great to have him back.
“Murph is out though. He will miss this weekend and if there is no improvement, he won’t be available for next Tuesday and Saturday either.”
There is better news on Kevin Bru though. He missed Mauritius’ 2017 Africa Cup of Nations defeat in Rwanda on Tuesday through injury but Mick added: “He trained today and we are optimistic he will be okay for the weekend.”
