EASTER CAPS FOR BLUES

28 March 2016

More Town players in international action

Kevin Bru was one of a number of Town players in international action over the Easter holidays.

The midfielder helped Mauritius to a 1-0 win over Rwanda in their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier to move into second place in their group.

Paris-born Kevin, who qualifies to play for Mauritius through his parents, won his sixth cap in the game and looks set to win his seventh in the return qualifier in Rwanda on Tuesday.

Daryl Murphy won his 20th cap for the Republic of Ireland in their 1-0 win over Switzerland in a friendly in Dublin, while Academy scholars Andre Dozzell and Ben Morris both won caps for England U17s in their 1-0 win over Finland in a Euro 2016 elite qualifier, Andre scoring the only goal.

England, who have won both their qualifiers in the mini tournament, face Ukraine at Burton’s Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday with a place in the finals in Azerbaijan in May up for grabs.

Also in action was Josh Yorwerth, who is currently on loan at Crawley for the rest of the season.

The defender played the 90 minutes for Wales U21s in their 2017 European Championship goalless draw in Bulgaria.

Wales face Romania in Medias in their next qualifier on Tuesday.
