U11s stays at £10 again as focus on youth begins to pay off plus no rise in prices if Town are promoted
The Club have released season ticket prices for 2016/17 and for the ninth successive year, U11s will be able to watch all 23 Championship games for just £10.
The number of youngsters attending games at Portman Road is growing year on year, with over 1000 U11s having season tickets in the family area for this campaign. The Junior Blues membership also increased by 25 per cent for 2015/16 with close on 1600 members.
Season tickets for adults will increase in price for 2016/17 by 1.5 per cent for almost 97 per cent of the stadium, which works out in the lower tiers at £6 over the year, or 26p per match.
Adults can watch the 23 home games in the Championship from an average of £18.13 per match if they purchase before the Early Bird deadline of midday on April 11, 2016, making a saving of around £276 against matchday prices. U20s can save up to £348.
Season ticket holders will gain from a new initiative that has seen the Club link up with local and national companies to provide discounts on an array of goods and services.
The Club have again frozen the price - if Town are promoted to the Premier League for 2016/17 - for any supporter purchasing a season ticket before the
Early Bird deadline, meaning no increase to watch top flight football.
Town are also maintaining the zero per cent interest offer over 12 months for those paying for their season ticket via the direct debit scheme.
In addition, the FREE Premier League season ticket offer remains in place. Full details below.
As well as season ticket prices announced, the Club have revealed matchday prices for Championship football for next season. The three grade system has been replaced by one standard price for all 23 home League matches, with adult supporters in the lower tiers paying £27.50 for a ticket pre matchday.
“Attracting youngsters to come to Portman Road and watch Ipswich Town play remains one of our priorities and we have seen an increase in both our Junior Blues membership and those U11s and U16s attending games,” Town MD, Ian Milne, told the Club website.
“We are continually looking to increase our matchday activities for families in the Co-op Stand and the feedback from supporters for this initiative has been very positive.
“We have retained the £10 season ticket for U11s and while there is a small increase for adult season tickets, in line with the retail price index, we feel at just over £18 a game, it represents a competitive price.
“We have listened to supporters who wanted us to simplify our matchday pricing and acted on that. We have been trialling one price this season and it will be implemented for 2016/17 with the price falling in line with what supporters have being paying this year.”

An increase of £6 to £10 over the year, depending on where you sit for adults. That’s between 26p and 43p a game. For concessions, it’s 17p to 26p a game; U20s - 13p a match and U16s, 13p a game as well.

Absolutely. You can save up to £348 against matchday prices over the year. For adults, a season ticket Early Bird works out as basically watching nine games for ‘free’.
WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO BUY THEN?
If you are a season ticket holder who uses the direct debit system, your season ticket will automatically be renewed for 2016/17. You don’t have to do a thing.
