Murph, Christophe and Jonas amongst Blues playing on the biggest stage

Town have seven players away on international duty, with Daryl Murphy included in the Republic of Ireland squad for their friendlies against Switzerland and Slovakia.

The 33-year-old striker met up with his team-mates yesterday after being named in the trimmed down squad by Ireland boss Martin O’Neill, with the Republic playing the Swiss on Friday and Slovakia on Tuesday, March 29 - both games at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Murph, who has 19 caps to his name, is joined on international duty by Christophe Berra, who is away with Scotland for their friendly in the Czech Republic on Thursday. 

Jonas Knudsen has received his first call up for Denmark as a Town player. He is in their squad for the games at home to Iceland on Thursday and in Scotland next Tuesday. 

Kevin Bru is away with Mauritius for their 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Rwanda, home and away on March 26 and 29, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles is on England U19 duty against Georgia on Thursday, Greece on Saturday and Spain next Tuesday.   

Michael Crowe is in the Wales U21 squad for their games in Bulgaria and Romania while fellow goalkeeper Jonathan Henly is in the Scotland U21 squad for their matches against France and Northern Ireland.
