Christophe and Monty add to international appearance tally

Christophe Berra and Monty Patterson have both picked up caps for Scotland and New Zealand respectively.

Christophe played the second-half for the Scots in their 1-0 defeat to Italy in a friendly played in Malta.

It was the Town defender’s 33rd cap and he will be hoping to add to his international tally when Gordon Strachan’s side take on France in a friendly in Metz at the weekend.

Meanwhile young Town pro Monty won his second cap for the All Whites in their 5-0 win over Vanuata in their second group game in the Oceania Nations Cup.

Former Blues’ loanees Rory Fallon and Chris Wood were both on target, with the Kiwis finishing their group games against the Solomon Islands on Sunday.

The competition is also used as Oceania’s second qualifying round for the 2018 World Cup.
