Daryl's season over for Town as he misses out on last day at Derby

Daryl Murphy’s season is over with Town and he will now concentrate on being fit for selection for the European Championship.

The striker sustained a calf injury while away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland at the end of March and has not featured for Blues since.

He will miss the final game of Town’s season at Derby at the weekend with Blues’ boss Mick McCarthy telling the Club website: “He will be staying behind and concentrating on getting fit for Ireland.

“Hopefully he can ready for the European Championship if selected.”

Murph will be at the training ground next week, working on his recovery with the Town physio staff with squads for the Euros to be confirmed by May 31.
