Supporters 'live the dream' as they take to the Portman Road pitch to feature alongside Town celebrities

Friday saw a number of Town supporters ‘live the dream’ as they played at the home of the Blues to battle it out for the Portman Cup.

A team of supporters, assisted by some former Town players, took to the main pitch at Portman Road, with legends Terry Butcher and Russell Osman managers for the day.

The final score saw the Ipswich ‘away’ side comfortably defeat the ‘home’ outfit, running out as clear 11-2 winners for Butcher’s team.

Goalscorers for the away side were Andrew Seymour (four), Chris Thompson (four), Phil Ham, Paul Sparkes and Simon Milton.

On the scoresheet for the home side were Alan Lee and Ramon Bak.

A great day was had by all, with Zach Ward (home) and Andrew Seymour (away) catching the eye to be named man of the match for the respective teams.
