Andre and Ben in action, Nick on bench as Young Lions set up Euro U17 quarter-final showdown with Spain

Town’s Andre Dozzell and Ben Morris played the full game as England beat Denmark to set up a quarter-final showdown with Spain in the U17 European Championship.

The 3-1 win over the Danes, with goals from Reiss Nelson, Mason Mount and George Hirst, son of former Sheffield Wednesday striker David, left the Young Lions second in their qualifying group behind Sweden. 

Goalkeeper Nick Hayes completed the trio of Blues involved in the game, with the Academy scholar amongst the unused substitutes.  

Portugal face Austria and Germany take on Belgium on Saturday in the first of the quarter-finals in Baku, Azerbaijan, then England go head to head with Spain on Sunday in the 8km Stadium (kick off 2pm) before Sweden and Holland complete the last eight games.
