Young duo continue education at Boston and Braintree until the end of 2016

Monty Patterson and Joe Robinson will see out the rest of 2016 on loan at Braintree and Boston respectively.

Joe joined Boston United in August, initially on a month’s loan, but his stay with the Vanarama National League North club has been extended month by month and the 20-year-old defender will now remain with the Pilgrims until the end of the year.

Monty, 19, has just completed his first month on loan at Vanarama National League club Braintree Town and that has also now been extended until the year end.
The New Zealand international, who scored his first goal for his country in their 1-1 draw against the United States in a friendly in October, will be hoping to feature for the Essex club in their FA Cup second round tie at Millwall this Sunday.

“It’s an opportunity for them to get first-team football every week in games that really count,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website.

“That is what Joe and Monty need now. They are getting more out of that than playing U23 football here.”
