Blues midfielder rues slow start as Forest take all three points at Portman Road
Jonny Williams believes Town’s slow start to the game set the tone for the rest of the match as the Blues fell to a 2-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Britt Assombalonga had the visitors ahead with less than 20 seconds on the clock, and added a second right on the stroke of half-time, consigning Town to a second loss of the season at Portman Road.
“On another day we could have scored one, two or three goals but today wasn’t that day,” he told Ipswich Player HD.
“It was a frustrating day, with the amount of crosses we put in we looked dangerous at times and we thought it was only a matter of time.
“It was a poor start and that set us up for the rest of the game.
“We’ll look at things we can improve on from tonight on Monday but after that we’ll move on and focus because you can’t look back too much with the amount of games in a season.
“The games come thick and fast, especially approaching December, so we need to move on and start again next weekend.”
