Town players are returning from injury, but some remain doubtful for weekend visit of Rotherham
Mick McCarthy has welcomed the return of a number of Town’s injured players, but is still waiting on news regarding a handful of others ahead of this weekend’s visit of Rotherham.
Jonas Knudsen had to be withdrawn at half-time in last Saturday’s defeat to Newcastle at St. James’ Park, and, along with skipper Luke Chambers, hasn’t trained this week.
“There’s still a couple we’re waiting on but the injuries have thinned out,” the boss told Ipswich Player HD.
“Varney played earlier in the week and has trained OK, and Didz [David McGoldrick] is back at it.
“Skusey was out training, but Chambo and Jonas haven’t trained so we’re still waiting on them.
“Jonas is a tough lad so there’s a bit of concern but we will see how he is tomorrow.”
