Marquee extended to double capacity in time for Burton

The Club’s Fanzone is getting a facelift during the international break.

The Blue Inn marquee will be doubled in size in time for the Burton game at Portman Road on October 18, with the capacity to take in close on 600 people undercover.

There will be extra toilets provided and additional TV screens so that fans can watch live Premier League football on Sky before Town kick-off.

Further improvements are being discussed with the winter months in mind.

“The Fanzone will be open all season so we are aware that we have to adapt to the weather changing,” explained Town MD, Ian Milne to the Club website.
“It’s been a great success. We want to keep that going through the winter and adding to the capacity of the marquee will allow a lot more supporters to be under cover.”

Close on 12,000 fans have attended the Fanzone so far this season, with live music and other entertainment to continue through the winter months. Andrew Spall will be on stage at the Burton game, with a combination of swing songs and old classics.
