CCTV and sniffer dog in operation as fans face ban for use of flares

Ipswich Town would like to remind all supporters that anyone caught in possession of a flare or seen throwing one on matchday at Portman Road face being banned from attending games indefinitely. Police action could also be taken.

Flares can cause considerable distress and harm to those in close proximity when let off and in extreme circumstances can even be fatal.

The Club has a zero tolerance to their use and will use CCTV and witnesses to take action against guilty parties if necessary. In addition, a trained sniffer dog will be in operation in the match against Aston Villa.
