Midfielder itching to get out on the pitch at Elland Road and believes Town have the strength in depth to produce a repeat performance of last season

Cole Skuse admits he and his Town teammates are 'raring to go' at Elland Road this weekend and has heaped praise on two new additions.

The midfielder is set to feature for The Blues against Leeds on Saturday (3pm kick-off) and believes the strength in depth of the squad can help the side record a repeat performance of last season in West Yorkshire.

"Training this week has been very intense and we are all raring to go at Elland Road," the midfielder told Ipswich Player HD.

"It's a tough place to go but we are looking forward to it. Garry Monk is highly regarded coach, he's very intricate and does his homework on teams.

"So it won't be easy against them, but we certainly go there with no fear and will be looking for a repeat of last season where we started quickly, got the goal and then put in a really solid away performance which I think frustrated their fans.

"We've got a few players getting back up to match fitness and you saw against Villa with Varns [Luke Varney] and [Leon] Besty coming on from the bench and really adding something to the team.

"You need to have that over the course of the season and they are certainly good additions. It can't be nice for defenders to look over to the bench and see them two preparing to come on.

"Leon has settled in really well, he's a character and has fitted into the dressing-room environment. He's settled like snow, if truth be told, and him and Varns are two great characters to add to the mix, especially with their experience."
