BOSS NOT WORRIED ABOUT BART INTEREST

7 April 2017

Mick welcomes attention for his player of the year

Mick McCarthy says he’s not worried about losing Bart Bialkowski in the summer and welcomes the interest in him.

The Town ‘keeper has been in outstanding form again this season and there have been reports of clubs keen on him at home and abroad.

“I am not going to worry about that because there is nothing I can do about it,” the Town boss told Ipswich Player HD.

“Worrying about it won’t stop it happening. I will deal with it when I need to but I hope he continues to get a lot of attention because that means he’s carrying on playing as well as he has done.

“There have been games where we could have scored more goals and got more points but equally there have been games where we have hung on thanks to some  magnificent saves from Bart.

“For me, he’s our player of the year again.”
