Mick salutes goalscorers after vital win over Wigan
Freddie grabbed a brace and Didz the opener as Blues went nine points clear of the relegation zone with a 3-0 win against the Latics.
“It was a good night and a good solid performance, especially in the first-half,” the Town boss told Ipswich Player HD.
“It could have been more than 2-0 but you are always worried at that scoreline and we gave away some silly free-kicks. It was only down to Bart that they didn’t get back in the game.
“I thought Didzy and Freddie were outstanding for us. They took the game to them and set the tempo early on and continued that all through.
“It’s a great three points for us but we still have work to do. The results have gone our way though and it’s made it a lot harder for the teams below us.”
Town lost Steven Taylor before half-time with a hamstring injury with Mick conceding that the defender could be out now for the rest of the season.
