Blues skipper is relishing the challenge of going up against his former team-mate on Friday
Luke Chambers is looking forward to re-uniting with an old friend at the Pirelli Stadium on Friday as Town travel to take on Burton Albion.
Luke Varney could be set to face Town for the first time since departing the Club for the Brewers in January, but the skipper won't be taking the test lightly.
"It will be a bit tasty I'm sure!" he told the Club website.
"I'm looking forward to seeing him first and foremost but once the game kicks off I'm sure you'll see some feistiness.
"When he was here, he didn't make any secret of the fact he'd like to go back to be closer to his family because they only came down for a short period of time so it was a good opportunity for him.
"He is, in my opinion, still a very good player at this level.
"It will be a good atmosphere at Burton, as I'd imagine they're still enjoying their season.
"They haven't settled for being one of the favourites to go down and they've earned the right to be where they are in the league, but it's a game we have to go and try to win.
"We always try to win the game, whether it looks like it or not, so we just need to be at our best and we don't want it to go down to the last couple of games, so we need to get something."
