Blues midfielder looks back on Town's 3-1 win over Newcastle at Portman Road

Emyr Huws has expressed his desire to remain at Portman Road beyond the end of the season when his current loan deal expires.

The midfielder bagged the third in the 3-1 win over Newcastle at Portman Road, and he is hoping he has done enough to earn a permanent move.

"I love the boys, and they've made me feel really welcome," he told Ipswich Player HD.

"The staff, the place; everything. I'm really enjoying being at the Club.

"I don't know what will happen at the end of the season yet and I'm just taking each day as it comes, but hopefully I can be playing here next season if things work out.

"I am quite happy with my goal today! I can't really remember it too well because it was just instinct.

"In the first-half we stifled them, then in the second we imposed our game more and we deserved to win the game.

"The support was immense today as well, so I'm glad I managed to get a goal down that end."
