Bryan Hamilton comes out on top following successful Town golf day, with Mick McCarthy, Freddie Sears and Brett Pitman also involved

Participants were treated to a beautiful sunny day out on the course yesterday, as Hintlesham Golf Club hosted ITFC’s Spring 2017 Golf Day.

Freddie Sears and Brett Pitman were the members of the first-team squad who took part in the 18-hole, stableford competition, as did manager Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor.

Following its successful introduction in recent editions, the live scoring system provided by GD Score kept the teams up-to-date on who was in the lead until the 15th hole, with final standings revealed after the post-golf dinner. Aside from the team and individual competitions running on the day, the ITFC Champion Golfer trophy was a chance for the Town players, coaches and celebrities to compete for Blues bragging rights.

Other Town representatives participating in the event included Simon Milton, Charlie Woods, Lee O’Neill, Jason Dozzell, Geraint Williams, Bryan Hamilton, Andy Liddell, Darren Smith, Alan Lee, Bryan Klug and Kieron Dyer. Town and Northern Ireland legend Hamilton beat Milton and Pitman to the ‘ITFC Champion Golfer’ title with a score of 37.

On the team prize front, our congratulations go to Thetford 6.15 – regular strong performers at ITFC golf days - as they took the spoils with an outstanding score of 95 points.
