Boss praise for Didz and co after hat-trick of wins
Mick McCarthy hailed the impact of his front players as Town continued the perfect start to the season.
David McGoldrick and Martyn Waghorn came off the bench at half-time to bag the goals that gave Town a 2-1 win at Barnsley.
“I knew it needed changing in the first-half,” the Town boss told iFollow, with Blues a goal down at the break.
“They caused us problems and I was always going to go 442 for the second-half and what an impact.
“Didzy wanted to play. He scored two at Luton. Waggy has come in, number nine on his back. It’s their reaction that counted.
“It was a terrific strike from Didz for the goal and Waggy has taken his chance well, as well.
“Freddie ran all day and Joe was great for us as well. We’ve got four good strikers and they are all contributing.
“Bart was terrific again. He kept us in it in the first-half. He made a big save for us just before the break. It would have been hard for us if that had gone in.
“It’s a good start to the season obviously but that’s all it is, a start.”
